The Discovery Center is for everyone
The Don Harrington Discovery Center and Wildcat Bluff Nature Center participate in several programs and initiatives to offer free or discounted admission to community members. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us!
Museums for All
$2 admission per person for families of 4 or less with SNAP benefits.
- A valid EBT card and photo ID must be presented
- Applicable to DHDC and WBNC
Family Discovery Memberships
Schools with 80% or more students on free or reduced lunch get FREE family memberships to the Discovery Center Collective.
- To redeem, tell us your student’s name and their school at the front desk
- List of elligible schools is updated annually
Library Memberships
Families can check out family memberships from the Amarillo Public Library.
- Offers one week of free admission for 2 adults and up to 6 kids
- Limit of one pass per 6 months
- Offers admisison to DHDC and WBNC
- Subject to library late fines
Camp Discovery Scholarships
Students considered “at-risk” of falling behind in school due to their living situations are eligible for FREE camp spots at the Don Harrington Discovery Center (provided lunches available at request).
- Currently serving children ages 4-11 who are with:
- Other organizations that serve displaced families are eligible if campers have reliable transportation to DHDC
